1) Tiger Hill - It is a place where the tourist can watch the beautiful scenario of the sunrise from the height of 2590m, also can get the view of Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest. Rivers like Teesta river, Balson river, Mechi river, Mahananda river follows down towards south.
2) Batasia Loop - This is a place from where visitors can get the entire 360 degree view of Kanchenjunga and the peaks of the Eastern Himalayas, also including the toy train loop. It is a sort of a garden, where one can sit peacefully and enjoy the nostalgic scenario.
3) Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park - Known to be the famous zoo in Darjeeling. Animals like Snow Leopard, Red Panda, Himalayan Wolf grabs visitors attention. This place is famous for the maintenance of breeding programmes of the animals.
4) Peace Pagoda- Come and enjoy the inner peace of mind here. Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda are situated in Jalapahar hill region. It’s about 10-15 minutes drive by car from Chowrasta of the Darjeeling town.
5) Darjeeling Ropeway - Darjeeling Ropeway is India's first cable car system, was started in 1968 . Darjeeling Ropeway operates from Singamari, and stopping at Tukver. The ropeway passes over dense forests, mountain ridges, water falls, flowing rivers, green valleys and tea gardens.
6) Ghoom Monastery - This Monastery is also known as Yiga Choeling Monastery. Over here, tourists will get to see a statue of Maitreya Buddha which is 15 foot high. It is located below the Ghoom railway station. There is also a museum set up in Ghoom Railway Station.
7) Rock Garden: It is a cascading/ Multi stepped Picnic spot designed under a natural falls-Chunnu Summer Falls. A must visit destination of Darjeeling. Ganga Maya Park is also an added attraction just 3 km away from the Rock garden.
Though, there are many more attractive places to visit in the town of Darjeeling, including the tea estates. Readers must visit those above mentioned places to gain some natural travel experience.
