The Big Clock of Howrah station was showing 5.45am We were rushing from main gate of the station to reach platform number-11. Ultimatemately we could manage to board the train. Our destination is New Jalpaiguri for a short vacation to some offbeat places near Darjeeling.
Why Vande Bharat Express: The main advantage to avail tickets in this train is its timing. The train departs from Howrah early in the morning. Lazy bengalis hardly can manage time to get this train. So many seats remain vacant during the journey.
Train schedule: Vande Bharat express train will run six days in a week except Wednesday. Howrah To NJP approximate 560 Kms will be covered in 7.5 hours. The train will depart from Howrah at 05:55 hours in the morning and will reach NJP at 13:25 hours. Return service can be availed from NJP onwards, the train will depart at 15:05 hours and will reach back Howrah at 22:35 hours.

Train Fare: The fare of Vande Bharat Express train is too much high. Requesting the concerned officials to revise the train fare so that common people can enjoy the ride.
In conclusion, The average speed of the Howrah- NJP Vande Bharat Express train is limited to 74.8 Kmph. The train can reach upto 160 kmph for commercial run but it does not touch 160 kmph speed over this route.
